event co-hosted with NWCHP, a presentation on Product Management & Go-to Market Plan and a talk given by an entrepreneurs in the Entergy Solution industry. These events are more diverse, compare to the previous events we had, as most of them are related with the IT industry.
Below is a short summary of each event:
8/6/2011, Luncheon with Omar Lee and Conrad Lee
Omar Lee, CEO of Great Wall Development Inc, is a very successful entrepreneur. He has given us a short talk on “how to pursue your dream” during the lunch, as a continue discussion of his talk at the previous”Road to Success” event. Conrad
Lee, Bellevue Deputy Mayor, has also given us a very inspiring talk on “Leadership and Success”. After lunch, Omar and his wife
Christine gave the group a tour of the Great Wall Shopping Center.
Over 30 people attended this event and the feedback I received was great. It has provided the attendees a good opportunity to network with and learn from successful business and political leaders.
8/11/2011, Product Management & Go-to Market Plan for Start-ups
I’m very glad to have invited Mikko Ollila to give a presentation on this topic.
Mikko is the Director of Product Marketing at Atlas Accelerator, which is the country’s largest venture accelerator. He has worked with a
number of Seattle area technology start-ups to create their go-to-market plans, execute marketing tactics and raise investments. Before
joining Atlas Accelerator, he worked at Microsoft Bing, as a Senior Product Manager. He also got his MBA from Yale.
The event turnout was great, over 30 people attended. Mikko’s presentation is very informational and several people who have their startups talked with Mikko and got some advice after the close up.

Finally, I’d like to share Conrad’s quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson at the end of his talk:
“To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;
To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others;
To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded. “
